Yaa Yeboaa Adu is the Public Health Project Coordinator of the Cheerful Hearts Foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. During her National Service in 2013 Yaa Adu worked at the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER) at the University of Ghana. After her national service with ISSER, Yaa Adu worked on a USAID project on Local Governance & Accountability and also served as a field assistant for a farm technology based research project conducted by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in the Northern Region of Ghana.
She has great passion for children, charity and community development work. While at the University, she served as Head of committee for Pearls of Praise a campus musical group where she initiated a charity program to provide material support for King Jesus Orphanage based in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Yaa Yeboaa Adu also had an opportunity to work as an intern with the Environmental Health and Sanitation Department, Kasoa in 2010. In 2011, she also worked with the ZoomLion Ghana which focuses mainly on keeping our environment clean for better habitation.
While working with Cheerful Hearts Foundation, Yaa works closely with the Ghana Health Service conducting research in helping improve nutrition, increasing awareness on several preventable diseases to help reduce mortalities associated with diseases such as Cholera, Malaria, etc at the local community level.
