    Child Labour & Trafficking Volunteers and Interns

    Cheerful Hearts Foundation (CHF) offers volunteer and unpaid internship programmes to both Ghanaian nationals and international applicants. The internship programme is designed for those who are currently attending or have recently graduated university. Since 2009, interns from Ghana and around the world have come to CHF to contribute their skills, knowledge, and passion for development and human. It is a great opportunity for current students to gain experience in a professional, non-profit environment and for recent graduates to hone their skills for a career in the development/non-profit sector.         Health Volunteers and Interns

        If you are a student or professional in healthcare delivery or public health, CHF has several opportunities for you to contribute your skills or to learn more about health care delivery in a developing country.  We provide health volunteering and internship opportunities in partnership with the Ghana Health Service (Awutu Senya District) and private health institutions in Ghana.  There are positions available for volunteers or interns who would like to work in or learn more about areas such as: (more…)

            Education Standards: Teaching

            As a volunteer in CHF’s teaching programme, you will be assigned to one or more local schools where you can use your expertise to improve the education of Ghanaian children.  You may choose any age of children, including primary school, junior high or high school and request specific subjects depending on your knowledge or interests.  Past volunteers have even taught physical education in addition to coaching the local football (soccer) teams after school. Feel free to request a subject not listed on the Education Standards Project page and CHF will do our best to find a school that needs a teacher for that subject.Volunteers and interns interested in teaching should note that teaching placements are normally based on the school year calendar in Ghana.  CHF can place teachers within the following terms: (more…)

                Volunteer and Internship Request.

                CHF will also do our best to find volunteer and internship opportunities to anyone who does not see their desired positions on our website. If you would like to volunteer or pursue an internship in a specific field, please communicate your interests to us and we will gladly assist you to find potential placements. We have contacts, partners and relationships with numerous community members and organizations that offer international internships, and would be glad to accommodate you when possible.Cheerful Hearts Foundation may also provide additional volunteer and internship positions based on current or upcoming projects.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with your interests or requirements.

                    Organizational Development Volunteers and Interns.

                    CHF welcomes volunteers or interns who want to use their skills to improve the fundraising or operations of the organization.  Development volunteers and interns work on projects such as grant writing, fundraising, microfinance, strengthening the organization’s structure, spearheading new initiatives, website management, human resources, and working to build partnerships with other organizations.  Development volunteers and interns are welcome to come to CHF any time of the year.  We ask for at least a four month commitment to institute significant, lasting change in the organization.  Please send a letter of interest and a copy of your resume to info@cheerfulheartsfoundation.org
